Located on Main Street in Woodland, the State Theatre & Multiplex offers a movie-going experience that blends some classic charm with modern comforts. The theater maintains a somewhat old-school ambiance, reflecting its roots in the community while catering to current-day expectations.

Inside, the seating is a definite highlight. Chairs are spacious and designed with some built-in features like tables that swing out to hold snacks and cup holders nearby. While the seats offer a good amount of comfort, including some reclining functionality, they aren’t fully adjustable recliners, but that doesn’t detract much from the overall experience. The tiered seating layout is thoughtfully arranged to help viewers see clearly over those in front, which is a big plus during packed showings.

Visitors who plan to grab food on site might notice that concession lines can get long during peak times, though the service tends to move along fairly quickly. The theater itself is well-maintained and clean, adding to a comfortable atmosphere that invites you to settle in and enjoy the film without distractions. Staff friendliness gets a mention from locals, contributing to a low-key, welcoming vibe.

Parking can be a bit of a challenge, especially during busy hours, since street parking near the venue is limited. So if you’re heading here for a weekend night or a popular new release, it’s wise to arrive early or allow some extra time for parking.

Overall, this theater suits movie fans who appreciate a relaxed setting with thoughtful seating arrangements and a solid lineup of showtimes throughout the day. It feels like a community spot that has kept pace with changing times while still holding on to a nostalgic feel that long-time Woodland residents might recognize.

Like the seats, very comfortable, adjustable and recline also have tables that swing out to hold your snacks, cup holders. Theater is nice and clean. Food concessions have long lines at times but go very quickly.

This theater was amazing. Huge and chairs set in upwards stages which makes it easier to see over heads. I wouldn’t say the chairs were reclining chairs because even though they were spacious and looked like recliners, they are not adjustable. However, still had a very positive experience here.

The State Theatre & Multiplex has an old school vibe. Showtimes are available throughout the day. Street parking may be difficult to find near the main building.

Wow! I can't believe how beautiful this theater has become. Woodland California my hometown I was raised there. It's been over 20 years since I've been there because I've done so much traveling with my entertainment. I currently live in the state of Alabama. I've been here for about 8 years now. But I'm getting ready to move back to woodland and I cannot believe I still cannot believe how beautiful this theater looks from all the pictures I'm looking at. I remember it from the olden days. Even the outside of the theater looks really fancy. You guys did an awesome job on the theater. I know it's going to look a lot more beautiful in person. I'm looking so much forward to going to movies there. I've got a lot of loose ends to tie up including selling my house here in Alabama. But I promise you you will be seeing a lot of me. I am a movie fanatic! I love my movies. God bless you all. I will see you soon. And Happy Spooktober!!

This theatre is surprisingly nice! Amazing leather seats and plenty of room so you never feel like you're squished. Reasonably priced tickets for $10.50. Don't expect to come here and be able to get a ticket for a movie. The best advice is to book your ticket online to reserve your seat and show time.
